Well, since we are out in remote locations we figured this would be a great device to carry with us. It's the world's first satellite personal messenger. You can alert family and friends of your whereabouts via email, they can track you via google maps and you can also send a 911 distress call if need be. We just got it out of the box so we are still learning how to use it.. but so far so good. Within the first few minutes i had the unit give a "ok" email and a google location to our home computer. Pretty slick and super easy to use. Not to mention use anywhere in the world.
If you want one, get out there quick! Our local REI had a few in stock, however some cities aren't so fortunate. Most are selling out quick. They've only been shipping for about week. I can see these selling on Ebay for twice as much soon.
