The 2004 Adventure Trailer Horizon is built for off road use. It has beefy suspension, oversized tires and a Lock N Roll coupler making it a perfect compliment to our Land Cruiser. Our model is a torsion bar setup with a high ground clearance axle. The new models feature a air bag trailing arm setup.
The Horizon is equipped with a dual lifeline battery setup. Each battery is putting out 105 amps. A Battery Tenders keeps the batteries charged at all times, whether the truck is charging or 110. A 1200 watt inverter is also included.

Also included is a Solar Charge controller for Solar Panels. We can take any type solar panel and plug it directly into the port, therefore being fully self sufficient for weeks on end. The trailer is also equipped with cigarette aux plugs throughout.

The trailer is also capable of carrying 10 gallons of spare fuel. This combined with our OEM main fuel tank, 24 gallon aux tank and gas can storage on our rack, we can travel in upwards of 1000+ miles without stopping for fuel.

It has also been equipped with a 19 gallon poly drinking/cooking water supply. For reliability sake, Adventure Trailer has stuck with a manual pump spout that has proven itself throughout the years to work the best under all conditions.

A 2.5 gallon propane tank will last weeks, supplying fuel for both the stove top and the barbecue grill.

A pull out Cook Partner heavy duty stove featuring two 12,000 btu burners for all the heat you need. The door also has a built in cutting board for all the preparation needs you may require. Super bright yet low power draw LED lighting is mounted in the kitchen area for night time cooking.

Fully adjustable Fiamma F35 awning. This provides protection from the Sun/Rain while in the kitchen area.

Fridge slide. We will take the fridge out of the cruiser and re-locate it here. No more standing on my tip toes to see where my ice cold beer is.

We will also move the roof top tent off of the cruiser and mount it to the load bars on the trailer. The hatch is equipped with heavy duty pistons that lift even with the weight of the tent. The inside of the main cargo box has been sprayed with Line X.

When the trailer is not in use it plugs directly into regular 110 for charging.

The trailer has a 2" receiver for recovery or for various plug ins like a bike rack. The rear bumper is super heavy duty and has built in LED tail lights that sit flush away from rocks.

Within the next few months we will strip the trailer down and paint it to match the Land Cruiser. Also, we will switch out the hubs and mount 80 series wheels with 33" Hankooks to match.
We are very excited to get out and use our "new to us" trailer. Our first trip will be New Years. On this trip we will be focusing on the basics of pulling the trailer through terrain we normally wouldn't. We will practice backing up and squeezing it through tight spaces as much as possible. We might even get a deep river crossing in. Look for a full trip report coming up in the next couple weeks on how it went!!
