Sunday we joined my cousin and his wife on the trails in Loma Linda Ca. We went riding at a place we all have never heard of or been too called Hilda Crook. It was pretty nice, and remote right in the heart of the city. The canyon we chose had a ton of single track switch backs and high speed corners.
It was Yosh's second time on the bike and she did great. She surprised each of us with how well she did. Especially not being afraid of descents!

After a bit of traveling up the canyon we figured that we were going up the steepest section of trail we could have picked. And at this point Yosh was spent since her legs weren't used to the cadence yet. We came to a 45 degree mtn climb up the side of the ridge and figured it would be best to turn around for the day.
On the way back down, i had to try this down hill cliff shoot.. of course the camera battery died when i finally dropped down it. It was a rush and i would not recommend it. My cousin would try it after me but later decide against it because he was afraid to hit his pedals in the drop in point. If you hit your pedal, then you'd be tumbling down for a while. Of course the photo never shows the grade justice.

The flowers were out in full bloom.. it was great.

Yosh said she had a good time. Next time she wants to do something that's flat and more enjoyable. I explained to her that some rides are pure climbing and others can be a nice cruise on some flat trails.. but never expect it to be easy. She said, she'll be back to do it again.
Dang, Im a lucky guy.. she likes to camp, 4 wheel, kayak, hike and now mtn bike?

Thanks to Cory and Nicole for inviting us out on a casual no stress sunday ride.
